I had a dwarf craft an artifact iron bed and now he is a "Legendary Metalsmith".

Does this mean he has a legendary skill level in all metalsmith-related jobs, or is it limited to, say, metalcrafting?

Blacksmithing, I would guess, actually. That is to say, making furniture at the forge. Thrones, doors, tables, et cetera. --Zombiejustice 15:23, 22 June 2008 (EDT)

Yes, from the blacksmithing page it makes sense.
