Chains are created at the Metalsmith's Forge with one metal bar.
Ropes are created at the clothier's shop with one cloth.
Both are used in building wells and restraints and are interchangeable.
Creating a chain trains the Metal crafter skill, not the Metalsmith skill. Creating a rope trains the clothier skill. Chains and ropes have a base value of 10.
