Marble is one of the types of stone that forms entire layers.
Marble is the only metamorphic rock that also can be used as a flux stone. It has a Material value of 2, like most of the other flux stones. This higher value, combined with the large cluster size, makes it valuable as a furniture craft material, like most other flux.
