Gray squirrel

Gray squirrels are little wood-climbing vermins that live in all temperate forests. Some of your dwarves like them for their tails, but your cats will kill them all (that is until next spawning of vermins...). Like many other vermin, elves may bring them in trading, in seemingly empty cages (use view to see them).
